What is the course experience like?

With the use of scenarios to practice real-world applications, learners are made to understand the consequences of their organization's practices and are empowered to effect positive change to their grantmaking and improve impact for grantees. 

Smart Risk Management for Greater Impact is a self-paced course that offers the flexibility of completing the four course modules on your schedule, at your convenience. PEAK Grantmaking members contributed to and reviewed the content. You can review the course details here.


What kinds of resources are available in the course? Will I have access to these after I've completed the course?

Smart Risk Management for Greater Impact includes links to downloadable reports from PEAK Grantmaking and Open Road Alliance, and an action planning template to use on the job. You can access the course and download the documents for one year from the date of enrollment. 


What is the time commitment for Smart Risk Management?

The course will take about 90 minutes to complete, and can be completed over multiple sessions. 


Do I have to pass a test to get credit for the course?

The course includes activities which are designed to get you thinking and engaged with the material, but there are no testing requirements. A printable certificate of completion will be issued when you've completed all four modules in the course, and PEAK Grantmaking members who complete the course will also receive a badge for their CONNECT profile.
